AVCS Ski/Snowboarding Club

The Ski and Snowboard Club will once again try to go to Jay Peak on Sunday, Feb 13.  Kids or Students are $35, adults are $35.  This includes transportation.  If you drive yourself, adults are $37 and kids/students are $27.

I can not get this group rate with less than 15 people and we will not be able to go.  The next trip to Jay will be scheduled for April 2.  This is after the Youth Commision Program ends.  The sun will be out and the snow will be soft.  Put it on your calendar.

See Mr. Fey in room A106 to sign up and get a permission slip if you don't already have one filled out for the year.

Dear AVCS Ski and Snowboard Club member, parent, or guardian,
Most mountains require at least 20 people to receive a group rate.  The listed price for the trips is also very tentative since we are not done fundraising.  Ultimately, the number of people on a trip determines the price due to transportation costs and lift ticket discounts.

I have based the prices on past year’s trips.  Rentals and lessons are available at all mountains for additional fees.  Inexpensive ski and snowboard seasonal rentals are available from most ski shops.

It is important for students to listen to/read the school announcements to sign up for trips and hear the final cost of the trip.  Announcements are read every morning and then posted outside the main office.  All money must be paid to Mr. Fey prior to the departure of the trip.  Cash or checks are accepted.  Checks can be made out to AVCS Ski Club.  Any student, parent, or family member may attend the trips for the same price.

You do not have to attend all trips. Anyone can join the club at any time by simply coming on a trip. We generally stop at McDonalds on the way home from trips.  Students are responsible for providing their own food or money for food.

You can always contact me at 834-2800 Ext.286 or by email with questions about our trips.
Sincerely, Chris Fey
