At AVCS, we believe strongly that higher learning is the primary focus of education and that our ultimate goal is to prepare young students to be highly educated, responsible and productive citizens of our school and community.

The Board of Education, Administration, Faculty and Staff firmly believe that all students can achieve success and that educational excellence requires a team effort with the cooperative involvement of the students, parents and staff of the district.

To that end, we promise to: expect the best from everyone at all times, promote and foster the highest of standards, sustain open communication lines with all stakeholders and to put the needs of our children first while remaining sensitive to our community needs and resources.

AVCS students are consistently meeting and/or exceeding all state and national standards. In fact, I am pleased to announce that this past year, AVCS was named and recognized by the the New York State Board of Regents and State Education Department as a High Performing-Gap Closing School District. Great things continue to happen here and we will continue to strive for excellence!
