On, April 4th, 2009, nine 4th and 5th grade students from the Keeseville Elementary building joined up with approximately 150 other students from schools around the county to participate in the 11th annual Clinton County P.E.A.K Classroom Music Festival. The purpose of the P.E.A.K. (Parents, Educators and Kids) Festival is to give the public an opportunity to observe and participate in general music classroom type activities.
Every student was involved in singing along with three of the following classroom music activities: playing classroom instruments or non-pitched instruments, playing recorders or drums and movement or dance. The day started at 8:30 am and ended with a Demonstration for the public at 2:00 pm in the Plattsburgh City High School Auditorium.
This year’s P.E.A.K. Festival Clinicians included the following area music teachers: Jane Ayres, Brian Baker, Beth Barr, Barb Boulerice, Ben Bright, Heidi Glover, Pam Lavin, Jeanette McKinney, Marcia Peck , Diane Sabourin, Lorri Spaulding, Aisha Stanyon, Sandy Stortz, Sandy Verity, Penny Weise, Carolyn Wilson and JoLee Yeddo.
