Statement from Superintendent Paul Savage – February 23, 2018

The District was made aware of threatening remarks made on social media towards some of our high school students.  We immediately reported these threats to law enforcement, who then immediately responded to the threats.  The State Police are continuing their investigation and are working closely with the District on this matter.

The District wants to assure our students, parents and the community that we take all matters of safety seriously and have safety measures in place to mitigate these threats.   We will continue to work with law enforcement to provide a safe environment for our students and staff, including a police presence at all school buildings on Monday. The District urges students, parents and members of the community to remain vigilant and to report any school safety issues to District administration and law enforcement.
